The Birthday Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Metro Detroit area.Our goal is to provide birthday celebrations to children who may have otherwise gone without.

Each box includes everything a family needs to create a cozy Birthday celebration at home!

These boxes are funded through donations from the community and are gifted at no cost to families facing hardship.
How Does it work?
Donors Fund
Community donations and sponsorships fund each Birthday Box.
Families Request
A parent or guardian in need applies for a Birthday Box.
We Create
Each box is completely personalized with gifts, treats, decorations, and a family activity.
Kids Celebrate
We organize drop-off or pick up with the parent so they can celebrate with ease.

What to expect
1️⃣You submit the request form.
2️⃣We review and confirm availability.
3️⃣ If we are able to provide a Box, we will reach out to schedule drop-off.
4️⃣ We build a personalized Birthday Box.
5️⃣The celebration is delivered.
*To assure our resources are allocated in the best way possible, The Birthday Project requires PROOF OF BIRTHDAY and PROOF OF RESIDENCY.
*Unfortunately, submitting a request does not guarantee a box. But every request is reviewed with care.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi friends! I'm Kayti - Founder, Funfetti Cake Enthusiast, and Professional Birthday Celebrator!I created this project because birthdays matter. They remind us that we are loved, seen, and that we belong - and every kid deserves that reminder.While birthdays tend to focus on the kids, I also created this project for the parents - The ones doing their best, often quietly, to make magic where they can. You deserve a moment to breathe, to feel cared for, and to know that you're not alone in wanting something special for your child.This is your reminder that asking for help doesn't make you any less strong.
